Test Run

I am doing a fun run on Sunday with Trent, Nic & Robyn. Nic & I are going to run it, Trent & Robyn will walk it. The run is 4km and I want to attempt to run most, if not all, of it. I decided last week that I would do a couple of test runs this week in the lead up to the fun run. The first test run was today.

I met Nic after work to go for a run round the fun run track. It was 36 degrees (about 96 for those of you in America) when we started out the run. Now as you all know I am not a runner at the best of times but running with Nic is even harder than normal. I feel bed if I go too slow as he is used to running faster but at the same time I get completely knackered running too fast. I am getting better though (well I think I am anyway).

I didn't manage to run the whole thing but again I blame the heat. We did the 4km in 35mins. If I can do that in the heat I am pretty certain I can manage 30mins when it is cooler (that is my aim anyway). next trial run is Thursday after work so lets see how I go then as it is supposed to be raining then.
